Questions, answered

Tap Start on the lesson card at the top of Home. It always shows the next lesson in your course, so you never have to decide where to go. If you want to jump around, open the Path tab: every module, topic and lesson is there, and you can start any of them.

We email you a six-digit code every time you sign in, so there is nothing to remember and nothing to forget. Type the code in and you are in. Codes expire after ten minutes; if yours has run out, tap Send a new code.

Course: open the You tab, then Settings, then tap your name at the top and choose Course. Email: the same screen has an Email row if you signed up by email. Changing your email asks for a code at both the old and the new address, so nobody can move your account without you.

Digital Software Development is complete. Digital Support and Security, Health, Management and Administration and Accounting are being written. The rest are planned. You can pick any T Level when you sign up, and we will tell you on the course card when yours is ready.

Year 13 is your occupational specialism, and those lessons are not written yet. Until they are, the app gives you the core content to revise, which is still a large part of what you are examined on. When your specialism is ready it will appear in your Path.

A lesson is a run of short cards. Each one teaches one idea, and a question follows straight after it so you use the idea before the next one arrives. Answer, tap Check, read the feedback, and move on. Most lessons take about ten minutes. You can leave at any point and pick up where you stopped.

Multiple choice: pick one. Select all that apply: tick every right answer. Fill the blank: tap the word that belongs in the gap. Fill the code: tap a token into the highlighted blank. Ordering: hold a step and drag it into place, then Check. Matching: tap a term, then tap its definition. Number: use plus and minus. Written answer: type a sentence or two, and it is marked point by point like an exam.

Against a mark scheme, point by point, the way an examiner marks. After a test you can open every written answer and see each point, whether you earned it, and what it was worth. If the marking missed something you wrote, tap I made this point. A real person reads those and puts marks right.

It is a quick check to catch a common mix-up. It never counts towards your score, XP or streak. You still get told whether you were right, and why.

It reports the card you are looking at. If a question has a wrong answer, a typo, or just does not make sense, flag it and say what is wrong. We fix reported cards for everyone, and you can see what happened to your reports under Settings, then Help and support, then Your reports.

Some questions have one. Tap Show hint above the answer. Using a hint does not change your marks; it is there to unstick you, not to punish you.

Made-up businesses used across the whole course, so you practise applying an idea to a real-looking company the way the exam will. Tap the company's name above a question to read what it does.

Open the Revise tab. Under Due today is Questions you got wrong: anything you miss comes back a day later, in batches of eight. Get one right twice and it stops coming back.

Every lesson has a set of cards. Revise, then Flashcards, shows what is due today first. Swipe right if you knew it, left if you did not, and the ones you did not know come back sooner. Build your own lets you pick the modules, topics and lessons you want to drill.

A practice paper built to your choice: which paper, how long, and how hard. Questions are drawn from the same bank your topic tests use, and written answers are marked the same way. It is the closest thing in the app to sitting the real exam.

Every key term in your course, in plain words and in the formal words the exam uses. Underlined terms in a lesson open their glossary entry. You can also search the whole thing from Revise.

Finish one lesson a day and your streak grows. Miss a day and it resets, unless you have a freeze: you get three a month, and one is used automatically on a day you miss. The Streak page on Home shows your calendar and how many freezes you have left.

XP is how the app measures work done. Lessons, tests, flashcards and daily goals all earn it. It sets your level, and your level unlocks things: friends and the leaderboard open at level 5.

A small in-app currency. You get some just for opening the app each day. Spend it on themes under Settings, then Appearance.

By doing things: finishing lessons, keeping a streak, reaching a level, completing a topic. The Achievements page under You shows every badge, which you have, and how close you are to the next ones.

How many lessons you want to do each day. It starts at one. Change it by tapping the Daily goal card on Home. Hitting it earns bonus XP.

Open the You tab, then Friends, then the plus button, and search for their username. They accept, and you are friends. Friends open at level 5.

It ranks XP for the week, or all time. Subject shows everyone on your course, School shows your school, Friends shows your friends. If you would rather not appear, switch off Show me on the leaderboard under Settings, then Privacy and data. You can still see it.

A code a college, club or student group can hand out. Add it under You, then Groups, for 250 XP and something only that group's members can wear on their avatar.

Not in this version. They are still being tested and will arrive in an update.

Yes, for lessons you have downloaded. Tap the download arrow on a lesson while you have signal and it works without one. Under Settings, then Downloads, you can save whole modules. Your answers are kept on the phone and sent when you are back online.

No. Everything you do is saved on the phone first and synced when the connection is back. If a page cannot load you will see a short offline message and it loads itself the moment you reconnect.

Open the You tab, then Settings, then tap your name at the top. You can change your name, username, avatar, course, school and year group there. Usernames can be changed once every seven days.

Your username, avatar and level, and only if your profile is public. Under Settings, then Privacy and data, you choose whether your school, course, streak and achievements show, and whether you appear on the leaderboard at all.

Both are under Settings, then Privacy and data. Download my data emails you a copy within about two days. Delete account removes everything for good after you confirm; it cannot be undone.

Settings, then Notifications. Each kind of reminder has its own switch, and you can set what time the study reminder arrives.

Flag it from inside the lesson using the flag button, or go to Settings, then Help and support, then Report a problem. Tell us what you saw. Reports are read by a person and fixed for everyone.

Pull down on Home to refresh first. If it is still wrong, report it under Help and support and say what you expected. Your answers are stored, so nothing is lost and we can put the numbers right.
