Who we are
T-SkiLL is run from England by its founder, working as a sole trader under the name T-SkiLL. Where these terms say we or us, that is who we mean. A company, T-SkiLL LTD, is being set up; when it is, it will take over these terms, and we will say so here and in the app before it does.
We have not printed a postal address on this page, because T-SkiLL is run from a home. If you want our full trading name and address — to make a formal complaint, to exercise a data right, or for any other reason at all — email hello@tskill.co.uk and we will give them to you. You do not have to say why you want them.
We are independent. We are not part of, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Department for Education, any awarding organisation, or any school or college. T Level specifications belong to the organisations that publish them. Our lessons are our own reading of those specifications.
Who can use T-SkiLL
You need to be at least 16 to have an account. It is built for students in Years 12 and 13, and you are equally welcome if you are retaking, if you are over 18, or if you are revising over the summer before Year 12 starts.
When you sign up you tick a box saying you are 16 or over. We take you at your word: we do not ask for a date of birth and we cannot verify it. We would rather ask you plainly than collect a birthday from every student in order to check something we would still have to take on trust.
If you are under 18, we would like you to have told a parent, guardian or teacher that you are using T-SkiLL. We do not require proof of that.
If you are a teacher or a member of college staff using T-SkiLL alongside your students, these same terms apply to you.
Your account
Your account is yours alone. Do not share it, and do not use anybody else's.
There is no password. You sign in with a code we email you, so keep control of the email address on the account — anyone who can read that inbox can sign in as you. If you lose access to it, contact us.
Keep your profile accurate, particularly your course and year group, because they decide what content you are shown.
How you agree to behave
Be decent to other students. Do not harass anyone, do not pretend to be someone you are not, and do not choose a username you would not say out loud in a classroom. We screen usernames, and we will change or remove one that gets through.
Do not try to break the platform, reach other people's accounts or data, scrape our content, or work around limits we have set. Do not use software to play for you or to inflate XP, streaks or battle results.
We can suspend or close an account that ignores this. Where it is proportionate we will say what the problem was first.
What costs money, and what never will
T-SkiLL is free to students today. Every feature in the app as you use it now is free.
We expect to add paid features later, and to sell licences to schools and colleges. Here is our commitment, and it is a term of this agreement rather than a marketing line: anything that is free to you today stays free. If we introduce a paid tier it will be for things that do not exist yet. We will not take a feature you already rely on and put it behind a payment.
If that ever changed it would be a material change to these terms, and we would have to tell you and ask you to agree, as described below.
Our content
The lessons, questions, explanations, glossary, artwork and the design of the app are ours. Use them to study — that is what they are for. Read them, revise from them, take notes from them.
Do not republish them, sell them, feed them into another product, or share them outside T-SkiLL. If you want to use our material with a class or in another setting, ask us. The answer is often yes.
What you write
Some of what you type is stored: your username and display name, your answers to written questions, and anything you send through Report a problem or Send a suggestion.
It stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it back to you, and use it to run and improve T-SkiLL — a report about a wrong answer is read by a person and used to fix the lesson. We do not publish what you write and we do not sell it.

Kira, XP and streaks
Kira, XP, levels and streaks are scorekeeping inside the app. They are not money and have no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred to another person or exchanged for anything outside T-SkiLL.
We may adjust how they are earned and spent as we tune the app, and we may correct a balance that came from a bug or from cheating.
What we do not promise
T-SkiLL is a revision aid. It is not your course, it is not a substitute for teaching, and it does not replace the official specification or your awarding organisation's own materials.
We work hard to keep our content accurate and aligned to the specification, but we do not guarantee it is complete or error-free, and we cannot promise any particular exam result. If you find something wrong, tell us — there is a report button on every lesson and it reaches a person.
Keeping it running
We try to keep T-SkiLL available and working. We cannot promise it will never be down, and we may take it offline for maintenance or change how features work.
Some lessons can be downloaded to use offline. Anything you do offline syncs when you reconnect.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, under Privacy & data. That removes your profile and your progress.
A few things survive deletion in a form that is no longer about you. If you reported a broken lesson, the record that the lesson was broken stays so we can still fix it, with your name and anything you wrote stripped out of it.
We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, we will tell you at the email address on the account.
Changing these terms
These terms will change as T-SkiLL grows. When we make a material change, the app asks you to agree to the new version before you carry on — your acceptance is recorded against the version you agreed to, so a change means a fresh ask rather than a quiet update.
Smaller corrections are published here with the date at the top updated.
Where we stand legally
T-SkiLL is provided as it is. So far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using it, or for exam results, missed grades or lost study time.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us exclude. If you are a consumer you keep your statutory rights, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

Other students
T-SkiLL has friends, battles and leaderboards. Other students can see your username, your avatar, your level and your XP, and your first name if you chose to show it. They cannot see your answers, your marks or your email address.
Leaderboards are optional and you can leave them in Settings. You can block another student; blocking works both ways, so neither of you will see the other.
If somebody is behaving badly, report them from their profile. We read those reports.
